About the Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored educational programs to meet the diverse needs of our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will work closely with the school’s staff, parents, and external professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the UK curriculum to pupils with SEND
- Assess and monitor individual pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with support staff and external agencies to support pupils’ development
- Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing pupil assessments
Ideal Candidate
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Proven experience working with children with SEND
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and how to adapt it for pupils with additional needs
- Passionate about inclusive education and student development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment
