Monarch Education is recruiting for seven full-time Attendance Officers to work within secondary schools across Birmingham. The successful candidates will undertake administrative responsibilities related to student attendance, supporting school staff and engaging with students and guardians.
Responsibilities
- Contact students and/or guardians via telephone to discuss attendance concerns
- Record all interactions and outcomes accurately within the EBS system
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date attendance records
- Collaborate with teachers and senior managers regarding attendance issues
- Engage with students directly within classrooms when necessary
Person Specification and Criteria
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Essential: Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or in a similar attendance/support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Personable, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence in engaging with students, guardians, and school staff
- Flexibility to work across different campuses as required
