JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the maintenance of commercial landscapes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required
- License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License issued from the state of employment, preferred but not required.
- Specialized Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman and team members. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Strong commitment to high quality of work and customer service. Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner. Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks. Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

- Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk.

- Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Frequently exposed to loud noise levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Ensure maintenance of the job site as instructed by Foreman. Possible duties include, but are not limited to mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning.
- Safe operation of equipment, including: 21” and 36” mowers; power hedge shears; power shears; backpack blower; aerator.
- Basic understanding of plant identification.
- Basic hand pruning skills.
- Basic skill in shearing shrubs and hedges.
- Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch Safety Policy.
- Abide by Monarch code of conduct at all times.
- Show up to work each day on time; complete all tasks within time expectations; adhere to company dress code policy; wear clean clothes to work each day; follow inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
