We are supporting recruitment for a care provider within our wider group and are currently recruiting for a Nursing Home in Smethwick, Birmingham and a Nursing Home in Wednesbury. Position Details – Smethwick

  • An opportunity has become available for days or nights
  • Shift times: 08:00 – 20:00 / 20:00-08:00
  • Full-time hours available
  • £21.50 per hour
  • Working on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays

  • An opportunity has become available for 36 hours, nights
  • £21.75 per hour
  • Working on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

  • Care planning: Formulating, reviewing and updating person-centred care plans to reflect residents’ needs, in consultation with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals, in line with NMC guidelines and company policies.
  • Medication administration: Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
  • Monitoring resident wellbeing: Identify and report any ill health amongst residents and arrange GP or professional visits where required.
  • Leadership and supervision: When acting as Nurse in Charge, supervise the care team and ensure clear and concise handovers at the end of each shift.
  • Multidisciplinary working: Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Experience

We are currently seeking RGN-qualified Nurses with experience working within a nursing home. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be confident in delivering high-quality nursing care, including medication administration, catheter care, wound management, pressure area care, care planning, and the completion of clinical risk assessments.
