We are currently seeking a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to support our dedicated catering team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents, by ensuring mealtimes run smoothly. You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive environment at Croft Care Home, where teamwork and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
Position Details
- Rate of Pay: In line with the national minimum wage.
- Location: Burton on Trent, DE15 (please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying).
- Shift Pattern: repeats on a two-week rotation.
- Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm.
- Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday.
- Week 2: Monday, Saturday, Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a hygienic kitchen and dining area.
- Keep accurate records of food supplies, temperatures and schedules.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times.
- Follow statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Report any faults or issues promptly.
We are looking for someone who is caring, friendly, and has good communication skills. Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is beneficial, and a valid Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
