We are recruiting for an Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Kingfisher Court Residential Home in Clifton, Nottingham. Kingfisher Court, based in Clifton, is a purpose-built residential home with a warm, homely feel. We provide care and support for older adults, including those living with dementia. Our home offers bright, spacious communal areas and gardens with lovely views over a lake, and is supported by a kind, dedicated team who take real pride in the care they provide.

Position Details

  • Rate of Pay: in line with national minimum wage
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, 09:00-16:00; shift times will be discussed at interview as flexibility is required to support activities and events.
  • Schedule: rota basis including weekends and bank holidays
  • Location: Clifton, Nottingham, NG11

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan and implement monthly activity programmes that consider the individual needs and choice of all people who live within the care home.
  • Create an atmosphere of social inclusion and purposeful days.
  • Work to a budget and create methods of fundraising.
  • Maintain up to date records of daily activities using appropriate documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a care setting and/or developing and organising a range of events and activities, that promote purposeful days.
  • You will have strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative and plan and produce a variety of documents and supporting material to enhance the home’s activities programme.
