We are recruiting for a Domestic Assistant (temporary maternity cover) to join our team at Autumn Grange Care Home, S80. Autumn Grange, based in Creswell, is a purpose-built residential and nursing home with a warm, homely feel. We provide care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia. Our home offers bright, spacious accommodation designed to enhance our residents’ quality of life. If you are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.
Position Details
- Rate of pay: In line with National Minimum Wage
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Shift times: 08:00–16:00
- Schedule: Rota-based, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays
- Location: Creswell, S80 (please consider travel times, including weekends, prior to applying)
- Contract: Temporary – maternity cover
Responsibilities
As a Domestic Assistant, you will work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, helping to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Following the home’s cleaning schedules
- Deep cleaning and preparing bedrooms as required
- Managing cleaning supplies and reporting shortages to the Home Manager or appropriate person
- Using the correct cleaning agents for each area
- Adhering to health and safety, infection control, waste disposal, and COSHH policies
