Monarch Healthcare is recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant (morning shifts include cooking breakfast) to join our team at Woodlands Nursing Home. Woodlands is located within a residential area of Ripley, DE5. We provide care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia.
Position Details:
- Rate of Pay: The rate of pay is in line with national minimum wage.
- Hours: 3 days - 29.25 hours per week
- Shift Times: 9.75 hours per day which is a split shift of 7-2 and 3.30-6.30
- Location: Butterley Hill, Ripley DE5 3LW (Please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying)
Cooking: Morning shifts include cooking breakfast.
We are looking for an individual who is caring, friendly and able to communicate with people at all levels. Previous experience of food preparation and kitchen support duties is required, alongside a food hygiene certificate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals
- Provide for dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Maintain accurate records of food supplies, temperatures, and schedules
- Ensure relevant standards are always met
- Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
