We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience working as a senior care assistant, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents and colleagues. Ferndene Care Home based in Gainsborough, is a purpose‑built residential and nursing home with a warm, homely feel. We provide care and support for older adults, including people living with dementia. Schedule: Rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays.

Rate of pay: Up to £13.71 per hour, including increments for NVQ 2 and 3.

Location: Gainsborough, DN21.

Required: NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or above.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the care team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high‑quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and nutrition.
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the care environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
