We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant (Weekends) to join our team at Pinxton Manor Nursing Home, where we offer care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety.

- Rate of Pay: In line with the national minimum wage
- Hours: 7 hours per week
- Schedule: This is a weekend position working both Saturday and Sunday
- Shift Times: 15:00-18:30
- Location: Church Street West, Pinxton, NG16
Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our Cooks in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to create a clean, safe, and efficient environment while assisting with the preparation and service of food. The role plays an important part in ensuring our kitchen and dining areas operate smoothly and meet all required standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area at all times
- Assisting with food preparation and service
- Ensuring equipment is cleaned and properly maintained
- Maintaining accurate records relating to food supplies and temperature checks
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual who is caring and friendly with good communication skills. It would be beneficial to have previous experience of food preparation and kitchen support duties alongside a food hygiene certificate.
