Monarch Healthcare is recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Woodlands Nursing Home. Woodlands is located within a residential area of Ripley, DE5 and provides care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia.
Rate of Pay: The rate of pay is in line with national minimum wage.
Hours: 2 days – 19.5 hours per week
Shift Times: Split shift of 7-2 and 3.30-6.30
Schedule: We work on a rota basis which includes alternate weekends and some bank holidays
Location: Butterley Hill, Ripley DE5 3LW (Please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying)
We are looking for an individual who is caring, friendly and able to communicate with people at all levels. Previous experience of food preparation and kitchen support duties is required, alongside a food hygiene certificate.
The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals as requested
- Provide for dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Maintain accurate records of food supplies, temperatures, and schedules
- Ensure relevant standards are always met
- Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained
You will be joining a supportive team who are focused on providing the highest level of person-centred care. Alongside this we offer the following:
