We are currently seeking a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to support our dedicated catering team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our residents, by ensuring mealtimes run smoothly. Youβll be joining a friendly, supportive environment at Croft Care Home, where teamwork and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
Position Details
- Rate of Pay: In line with the national minimum wage
- Location: Burton on Trent, DE15 (Please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying)
- Shift Pattern: repeats on a two-week rotation
- Hours: 8:00am β 6:00pm
- Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Saturday, Sunday
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and dining area
- Keeping accurate records of food supplies, temperatures and schedules
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
- Following statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Reporting any faults or issues promptly
We are looking for someone who is caring, friendly, and has good communication skills. Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is beneficial, as is a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
