We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant (temporary maternity cover) to join our team at Ferndene Care Home, DN21. At Ferndene Care Home, we offer care and nursing support to older adults and individuals living with dementia. Our home provides bright, spacious accommodation designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Rate of pay: in line with national minimum wage

Hours: 24 hours per week

Schedule: rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays

Shift times: between 08:00 and 20:00

Location: Gainsborough, DN21

Responsibilities

  • As a Domestic Assistant, you will work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the care home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.
  • Adhere to the home’s cleaning schedules
  • Provide deep cleaning and preparation of bedrooms as required
  • Manage cleaning supplies and notify the Home Manager or appropriate person when new supplies are required
  • Ensure the appropriate cleaning agent is used for each area
  • Adhere to health and safety, infection control policies and ensure cleaning is in line with recommendations; adhere to the Care Centre’s waste disposal and COSHH policies
