Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? Monarch Education is currently recruiting Special Needs Youth Workers and Teaching Assistants to work with pupils aged 8-18 who present with challenging behaviours, ASD, ADHD, and Asperger\’s.

We\’re proud to be working with a large multi-academy trust in the Bristol area, offering a variety of roles across primary, secondary, and SEND specialist schools starting September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Full-time only: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Temporary to permanent: Ideal for candidates looking to secure a long-term position
  • 1:1 and small group support: On-site and off-site, managing behaviours and building strong relationships

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young adults (essential)
  • Ability to support pupils with SEND and challenging behaviours
  • Friendly, resilient, and professional attitude
  • Strong behaviour management skills (or willingness to learn)
  • Team Teach trained (desirable, not essential)
  • Able to provide references from an educational background
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Thrive or ELSA trained (desirable, not essential)
