Nursery Practitioner

Location: Wotton - Under - Edge
Salary: £14.25 - £17.00 per hour
Contract: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

Monarch Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑regarded, welcoming early years setting in the surrounding areas of Wotton. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a supportive team committed to providing high‑quality care and education for children.

About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment. You will help create engaging and stimulating activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and early learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily care and development of children aged 0-5
  • Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children
  • Monitor and record children's progress and development
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Assist with personal care routines where required

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
