Monarch Education are working in partnership with a supportive and forward‐thinking secondary school in South Gloucestershire (BS15), part of a respected multi‐academy trust, to recruit a committed and experienced Subject Leader of Design and Technology. This is a full‐time, fixed‐term opportunity to cover maternity leave.

As Subject Leader of Design and Technology, you will:
- Lead and develop the Design and Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspire and support pupils to achieve excellent outcomes in a practical and creative subject area
- Manage and support members of the department, fostering a collaborative culture
- Drive improvements in teaching, learning and assessment within the subject
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
- Contribute to whole‐school development and enrichment opportunities
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has strong subject knowledge within Design and Technology
- Has experience of leading or supporting leadership within a department (or is ready to step up)
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching and curriculum development
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for all students
