Monarch Education is working with a specialist SEMH school in the Brockworth area of Gloucester, to recruit a full‑time Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible / September 2026. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Many pupils may display challenging behaviour and require consistent, structured support to help them engage with education and manage their emotions. This role involves working closely with pupils on a one‑to‑one and small group basis, supporting both their learning and behaviour throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Support small groups with classroom activities and interventions
- Help pupils regulate behaviour and follow structured routines
- Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons and adapt activities
- Use de‑escalation techniques and follow behaviour support plans
- Build positive and consistent relationships with pupils

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
