To be successful, you MUST have 6 months of experience in a UK School Setting. Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Sutton Coldfield looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one and small group basis. You will be working with children with a range of SEND including autism, ADHD and SEMH, helping them access learning and stay engaged in the classroom. You will support the teacher with delivering lessons, adapting activities where needed and maintaining a structured and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
  • Support small groups with targeted interventions
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Support behaviour management in line with school policy
  • Help create a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Monitor and feedback on pupil progress
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO

The school is looking for someone with experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in a school or similar setting. You should be calm, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
