About the Role
As a Supply Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners. You'll adapt confidently to different schools, follow established schemes of work, and manage kitchen and classroom spaces effectively. Your enthusiasm and subject knowledge will inspire students to cook, experiment, and develop practical skills they can take into everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical, engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Support students with food preparation, nutrition knowledge, hygiene, and safe kitchen practice.
- Follow school policies, existing planning, and pre-set lessons where required.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and productive learning environment.
- Encourage creativity, independence, resilience, and problem-solving.
- Support learners needing additional guidance, reassurance, or behaviour support.
- Contribute to each school's inclusive and community-focused ethos.
- Promote a love for cooking, nutrition, and hands-on learning.
