We are currently recruiting 1–2–1 Tutors to support pupils in the Rochdale area who are not currently accessing a school setting. This is an opportunity to play a key role in helping young people re-engage with education through tailored, individual support.

About the Role

  • Deliver individualised 1–2–1 tuition to pupils
  • Support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Special Educational Needs (SEND)
  • Plan and deliver sessions in:
  • Maths and English (KS1–KS4)
  • Functional Skills (where appropriate)
  • Adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils working below age-related expectations
  • Monitor engagement and progress through structured support
  • Working Pattern

    • Tuition takes place during the school day
    • Typical assignments involve 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday
    • Opportunity to take on multiple pupils depending on your availability
    • Completion of daily session records and half-termly progress reports required
    • Due to the nature of the work, this role is best suited to individuals with flexible availability

    Person Specification

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, or significant recent tuition experience with references
    • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEND needs
    • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning sessions
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
