Teaching Assistant – Autism Specialist
Location: Gloucester

Monarch Education is proud to be working with a highly respected special school in Gloucester that supports children and young people aged 11-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of complex learning needs. The school is known for its nurturing environment, structured routines, and a strong commitment to helping every pupil thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your Role
- Supporting students with ASD in lessons, helping them stay engaged and focused
- Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Assisting with sensory activities and maintaining structured routines
- Helping teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Promoting independence and celebrating every achievement-big or small
What We\’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism
- A caring, proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Relevant training (e.g. Autism Awareness, Team Teach) is beneficial but not essential
