We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Qualified Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with QTS to join a well-regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long‑term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about languages and cultural learning, and who can inspire students to develop confidence and fluency. You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable), delivering engaging lessons in languages such as French, Spanish, or German.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
- Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject
- Proven experience teaching MFL at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one language (French, Spanish, or German)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Ability to teach more than one language
- Experience teaching GCSE MFL with strong outcomes
- KS5 (A-Level) teaching experience
- Familiarity with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR
- Passion for promoting cultural awareness and global outlook
