We are seeking a passionate and driven Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a well-regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable). Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous)
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work effectively

- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to departmental planning and school activities where appropriate
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- A degree in English or a related subject
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience teaching GCSE English Language & Literature with strong results
- A track record of raising attainment and supporting student progress
- KS5 (A-Level) teaching experience
- Familiarity with current exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
