Location: Derby

Pay: Β£90-Β£110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential? Monarch Education is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Derby on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will have experience working with children or young people with SEND and will be confident in providing both one-to-one and small group support. A nurturing approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships are essential for this role.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Passionate about helping students achieve their individual goals
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Confident in supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
