Position: Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) | Part-time options available
Shifts: Monday - Friday, between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

About the Role
We are collaborating with a highly regarded nursery in Swindon that is seeking to appoint a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their welcoming and professional team. The successful candidate will work with children from infancy to preschool age, supporting their growth and development through engaging, explorative activities both indoors and outdoors. The nursery places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, fostering curiosity, independence, and confidence in each child, with the aim of preparing them for future education and lifelong learning.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to individual children's interests and developmental needs
- Support children's progress through careful observation and accurate record-keeping
- Establish positive relationships with parents and carers to promote effective communication
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment
- Uphold and promote the nursery's ethos and core values daily
Candidate Requirements
Essential- A genuine passion for working with children aged 0-5 years
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- A creative approach and enthusiasm for outdoor learning
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and care
- Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification
- Previous experience working within a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), safeguarding procedures, and child development principles
- Familiarity with key worker models and observation techniques
