Monarch Education is seeking a passionate, engaging and committed KS3 English Teacher for a full-time opportunity at a well-established secondary school in Evington, Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified English teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, build positive relationships with pupils and inspire young people to develop their reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.

The role
As a KS3 English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3.
- Develop pupils’ confidence in reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and spoken English.
- Bring literature and language to life through creative and stimulating teaching.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs and abilities of pupils across a range of attainment levels.
- Establish clear expectations for behaviour and maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
- Assess pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Work collaboratively with the English department and wider teaching team.
- Encourage pupils to become confident, independent learners who enjoy exploring language and literature.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about their subject and committed to helping young people succeed.
You will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent recognised teaching status.
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver well-structured, engaging lessons.
- Effective classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- A flexible, professional and proactive approach.
- A genuine passion for English and for supporting pupils’ academic progress.
