Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in West Bromwich to recruit an English Teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Role Overview

  • Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4.
  • Prepare students for GCSE assessments and examinations.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities, including SEN.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress and attainment data.
  • Contribute to the wider school environment, including intervention and enrichment where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver English Language and Literature lessons.
  • Support students' development in reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Implement behaviour for learning strategies.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
  • Work with department staff on curriculum delivery and planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, attainment, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
  • Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Good understanding of GCSE English specifications and exam preparation.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
