Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in West Bromwich to recruit an English Teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Role Overview
- Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach across KS3 and KS4.
- Prepare students for GCSE assessments and examinations.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities, including SEN.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress and attainment data.
- Contribute to the wider school environment, including intervention and enrichment where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver English Language and Literature lessons.
- Support students' development in reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Implement behaviour for learning strategies.
- Use assessment data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
- Work with department staff on curriculum delivery and planning.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, attainment, and reporting.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
- Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
- Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Good understanding of GCSE English specifications and exam preparation.
