Location: Dudley

Pay: £93 to £110.24 depending on age and experience

Full time position (Monday - Friday)

Monarch Education is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support one of our primary schools in Dudley.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, coaching, youth work or support setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils' learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Experience working within a UK School or Youth Setting

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils achieve their potential both academically and socially. You'll work closely with teachers, SEN professionals and school leadership teams to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Depending on the school and assignment, your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one or small-group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Promoting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
