Are you an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term role in the Cheltenham area? We are currently recruiting a confident Maths specialist to join a welcoming secondary school, delivering engaging lessons and supporting student progress across KS3 and KS4. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers, as well as instructors or unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge and classroom experience. About the Role
In this long-term Maths teaching position, you will deliver effective and engaging lessons, support the department with planning, and contribute to raising attainment across the Maths curriculum. You'll be teaching a range of topics including algebra, geometry, statistics, number, and problem solving. Some general cover may be required when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging Maths lessons
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support students' mathematical understanding through clear explanations and scaffolded learning
- Monitor progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback
- Follow all safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies
- Work closely with colleagues within the Maths department
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards numeracy
What We're Looking For
- QTS is desirable but not essential
- Strong subject knowledge across the KS3-KS4 Maths curriculum
- Confident behaviour management and excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners of varying abilities
- Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding
