Monarch Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in the Burton upon Trent (DE15) area, who are currently seeking an experienced DT Technician to support their Design & Technology department.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the Product Design and Woodwork areas of the DT department, helping to ensure practical lessons run smoothly and safely. This includes:
- Preparing materials and equipment for DT lessons
- Supporting practical sessions, particularly in woodwork
- Safe operation and maintenance of woodworking machinery
- Ensuring the workshop meets health & safety requirements
- Managing stock and resources
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a DT Technician or within a workshop based role
- Strong experience with wood cutting and woodwork equipment
- Good knowledge of DT workshop health & safety procedures
- Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
- School based experience is desirable but not essential
