Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant or Support Worker
Location: Bromsgrove
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £100 – £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Monarch Education are currently recruiting for an Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working closely with pupils who have a variety of needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication and interaction needs, sensory needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage in learning, develop independence, build confidence, and achieve their individual targets. The role may also involve supporting pupils with personal care, sensory regulation activities, and positive behaviour strategies where required.
This specialist provision offers a nurturing, child-centred environment with excellent facilities and a dedicated staff team committed to ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Experience working with Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and/or SEMH
- A patient, caring, and nurturing approach
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
- A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
- Experience supporting personal care needs is desirable
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
