We are seeking a Maths Teacher for a long‑term, full‑time placement in a secondary school in South Bristol from September. You will deliver well‑sequenced, engaging lessons that develop pupils' fluency, reasoning, and problem‑solving, supporting learners across KS3 and KS4. This role suits a qualified teacher looking for a consistent timetable, an ECT seeking strong long‑term experience, or an experienced practitioner who enjoys building relationships and raising attainment over time.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4, adapting pace and challenge to meet a range of abilities
- Use effective modelling, questioning and retrieval practice to build secure understanding
- Assess learning, provide timely feedback, and contribute to tracking and reporting where required
- Support intervention and gap‑closing where needed, helping pupils make strong progress
- Maintain positive behaviour and consistent classroom routines in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department to share resources and support pupil outcomes
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching Maths in a secondary setting, ideally across KS3 and KS4
- Strong understanding of safeguarding requirements and responsibilities
- Confidence with planning, assessment and supporting GCSE preparation where appropriate
- Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
