We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Sports Coach / Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Filton, Bristol. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in June or September 2026.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you will use your sports coaching background to support students with behaviour and engagement. You will work closely with pupils both in lessons and through physical activity-based learning, helping them regulate emotions, build confidence, and develop positive behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support sports and physical activities to engage students
- Provide behaviour support on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Help de-escalate challenging situations using calm and consistent approaches

- Encourage teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour
About the Pupils / Job Specification
The school supports pupils with Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, which may include:
- Anxiety, low mood, or emotional regulation challenges
- Behavioural difficulties, including oppositional behaviour
- Additional needs such as ADHD, attachment disorders, or anxiety disorders
Students respond well to structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement, particularly through active and practical learning approaches.
