Monarch Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN Provision in Fishponds, Bristol, supporting students with special educational needs.
Role Overview
- Provide targeted support to students within an SEN School
- Support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Adapt classroom tasks to meet individual learning needs
- Support students with literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Facilitate reintegration into mainstream lessons where appropriate
- Promote independence and engagement in learning
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN team
- Monitor, record, and report on student progress
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured support in line with EHCPs and support plans
- Use strategies to manage behaviours and support learning
- Support small group and 1:1 interventions
- Provide consistency and routine for students
- Assist with transitions between lessons and activities
Requirements
- Experience supporting SEN in an education setting is essential
- Minimum 12 weeks' UK school experience
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
