Monarch Education is working with a primary school in Knowle, Bristol (BS4) to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant. This role is focused on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN pupils and supporting behaviour within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and behaviour
- Implement support strategies and behaviour plans
- Assist with classroom activities as directed by the teacher
- Build professional relationships with pupils
- Maintain a structured and safe environment
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Experience must be within a UK school or education setting
- Experience supporting SEMH and behaviour needs
- Understanding of behaviour management approaches
- Ability to work full time (Monday to Friday)
