This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a supportive team, working with children and young people who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to help create a positive, nurturing learning environment that enables every child to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of tailored learning activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
  • Supporting with personal care where required
