About the Role
As a Supply Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of different groups. You will support students in developing their practical, theoretical, and listening skills, helping them explore a wide range of musical styles and techniques. Through clear routines and purposeful learning environments, you will inspire students to take pride in their work and enjoy the process of making and understanding music.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-planned Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing practical musicianship, composition, and listening skills
- Follow school policies, department guidance, and pre-prepared lesson materials where provided
- Maintain a calm, organised, and positive classroom atmosphere
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, and a passion for music
- Provide additional support to students who may need help with confidence, technique, or behaviour
- Contribute to an inclusive school culture built on respect, ambition, and community
- Promote high standards in performance, musical literacy, and creative expression
What We're Looking For
- QTS or relevant secondary Music teaching experience
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and support learners of varying abilities

- Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professionalism
- Previous secondary teaching experience preferred - ECTs welcome
