We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND provision in Bath from June 2026. This is a long-term opportunity ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child's life.
About the Role
You will be working on a one-to-one basis supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves helping the student access learning, develop social and emotional skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil's individual needs

About the Pupils / Job Specification
The provision supports pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. SEMH can manifest in various ways, including:
- Difficulties relating to mood, such as anxiety or depression
- Behavioural challenges, including oppositional defiance and more severe conduct difficulties such as aggression
- Self-harm, substance misuse or disordered eating
- Medically unexplained physical symptoms
In addition, some pupils may have diagnosed conditions such as:
- ADD or ADHD
- Attachment disorders
- Generalised anxiety disorders
The successful candidate will be confident supporting children with complex needs and able to respond with patience, resilience, and a strong focus on positive reinforcement and praise.
