This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator and leader to drive forward a high-quality Engineering curriculum, inspire students, and lead a dedicated department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering/Design & Technology department across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5)
- Deliver engaging and practical Engineering lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Develop and implement a dynamic and industry-relevant curriculum
- Monitor student progress and attainment, ensuring excellent outcomes
- Support, coach, and develop departmental teaching staff
- Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies and initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Engineering, Design Technology, or a closely related subject
- Proven experience teaching at secondary level
- Previous leadership experience or readiness to step into a middle leadership role
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Engineering education
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
