Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to work within specialist schools and alternative provisions across Nottingham. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will have the chance to make a genuine difference by helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. Whether you are an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into SEND education, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents and external professionals
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
