Monarch Education is delighted to be recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and dynamic school within Key Stage 1. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity that offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learner\’s lives. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, committed to fostering engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning:

  • Develop and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Cover the entire primary curriculum, including core subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Foundation subjects, using interactive and challenging teaching methods.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and supported in reaching their potential.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies, including practical activities and technology, to promote active participation and high engagement levels.

Assessment And Monitoring

  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and inform your teaching practices.
  • Provide constructive feedback and adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  • Set achievable targets to support student\’s academic and personal development.

Classroom Management

  • Establish clear classroom rules and promote positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Maintain a respectful, safe, and productive classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional growth alongside academic achievement.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan cross-curricular activities and share effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and team planning sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and school events.

Professional Development

  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training sessions and workshops.
  • Stay informed about current educational trends and innovative teaching practices to enhance your classroom delivery.

Qualifications

Personal Specification:

  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) is essential.

Experience

  • Prior experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics, early literacy, and numeracy.
  • Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including SEND.
