Monarch Education is working with a Nursery School in Northfield, Birmingham, to find a Level 3 Nursery Nurse experienced in supporting pupils with SEND. The role is Wednesday to Friday, 9 am - 3 pm, with personal care responsibilities.
Requirements of the Applicant:
- Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years
- Experience supporting children with SEND of EYFS age
- Knowledge of EYFS and SEND National Curriculums
- Understanding of various SEND conditions and their impact on learning & development
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet diverse needs
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with SEND in the setting
- Ensure inclusion of SEND pupils in all activities
- Support children in forest school activities
- Collaborate with the SENCO to implement and review IEPs
- Support social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Apply positive behaviour management techniques
