About the Role

As an Audit Senior, you will play an important part in delivering high‐quality audit services to a wonderfully varied mix of clients. You will work with owner–managed businesses, sole traders, companies, and partnerships across sectors such as charities, manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality. This role is a great opportunity to build lasting client relationships while growing your expertise in auditing standards and best practice.

Looking for flexibility? We’ve got you covered! This role can be part‐time or tailored to fit your schedule, and you can be based at any of our South West offices: Swindon, Bath, Trowbridge, Cirencester, Chippenham, Bristol, or Taunton. Your work, your way, in a location that suits you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively engaging with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their business.
  • Act as point of contact for clients during audit engagements, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Lead audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, including planning, execution and finalisation.
  • Identify risk areas and finalise all areas of audit assignments under manager/partner supervision.
  • Assist junior team members, review their work and ensure audit objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with external audit requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Audit Practice Experience: experience in an audit and accounts practice, including an understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
  • Risk Assessment: experience in identifying and assessing risks and implementing effective controls.
  • Client Management: strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long‐term relationships.
