An opportunity exists for an experienced Building Control professional from an Approved Inspector or Local Authority Building Control background to join our Sheffield office to work as a Building Regulations Consultant in the Commercial, Residential, Leisure and Retail sectors throughout England & Wales. The role is to help us implement the new duty holder roles created under the Building Safety Act 2022 and The Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023.
Responsibilities
- Provide Principal Designer (Building Regulations) services to our clients.
- Chair online and in person workshops with designers to help them comply with their new duty holder roles.
- Deliver training for other team members in building regulation compliance and management.
- Conduct desktop technical auditing, plans checking and compliance management.
- Provide Building Safety Act consultancy advice and Client advisor services to clients.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be MRICS or MCABE or CIOB (Level 4 Diploma in Building Control Surveying) qualified.
- Registered Building Inspectors (RBCI) Class 1, 2A to F, 3G & H and 4 will be considered but this is not essential.
