About MOMO Kombucha
We are on a mission to produce the UK's best-tasting and highest quality kombucha. To achieve that we brew the traditional way and leave our kombucha unfiltered for a fuller depth of flavour. Plus, we’re certified organic: better for you and better for the environment. With every bottle of MOMO, we hope to inspire people to live healthier and more connected lives. We’re a proud B Corp and featured on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list in 2024 and 2025. You’ll find MOMO in Ocado, Riverford, GAIL’s, Planet Organic, Whole Foods Market, and over 1,200 independents. Founded in 2018, we’ve grown rapidly and are now preparing to scale over the next five years, to become the UK’s favourite kombucha.
The kombucha category is set to explode and poised for many decades of structural growth driven by three mega trends: gut health, low sugar, and alcohol alternatives. In our view it is where craft beer was in the UK 15 years ago.
The opportunity
We're looking for a detail-driven engineer to join our engineering team (currently two engineers) to take responsibility for the maintenance, reliability, and engineering performance of our bottling line - in close collaboration with our Packaging Lead. As Packaging Engineer, you will act as the technical owner of bottling equipment, ensuring our line is well-maintained, reliable, and engineered to deliver consistent quality and scalable throughput.
You will own bottling line maintenance planning and execution, while also looking for opportunities for performance optimisation, design improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The focus is on building out robust, maintainable systems that reduce downtime, improve repeatability, and support MOMO’s growth.
Initially, you will prioritise establishing strong bottling line maintenance and reliability. Once embedded, your focus will increasingly shift towards performance optimisation, line upgrades, and engineering projects to support scale-up and future site relocation.
As Packaging Engineer at MOMO, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our packaging from ~45,000 bottles per week to 250,000+ over the coming years, delivering on line upgrades and engineering projects to support us getting there.
