Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4+ engineers and serve as the technical owner of projects
- Own and drive Azure Platform DevOps, infrastructure automation and deployment
- Deliver production software delivery pipelines using CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
- Work across Azure (PaaS and IaaS) with credible cross-cloud capability (AWS desirable)
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Maintain strong client-facing communication with senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with client teams and third-party suppliers to influence outcomes
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and pursue self-improvement including new languages
- Utilize AI or Agentic tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and foster adoption within the team
- Hold active SC clearance as required
Key requirements
- Experience leading a team of 4+ engineers and acting as technical owner
- Azure Platform DevOps, Infrastructure Automation Deployment experience
- Expert-level Azure certification (e.g. AZ-400 or AZ-305)
- Scripting to automate operations tasks
- Production pipelines using CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
- Deep Azure experience across PaaS and IaaS
- Hands-on experience with AWS (desirable)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to simplify architecture for non-specialists
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with client/supplier teams
- Willingness to learn new programming languages and approaches
- SC clearance (active)
- Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence
