WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE
We are looking for a Creative Director with a strong background in concepting and creating multiple forms of content as a key component within their creative arsenal. You will lead projects, ranging across entertainment, tech, lifestyle, health, sport and culture sectors. Do you have you know what really lands in immersive experiences? Commerce? Brand platforms? Social? Have you built out and deployed big ideas that have resonated with audiences and changed the conversation?
As the CD you will lead the concept, experience, copy, design, tone and execution of the work, inspiring and motivating the teams working into you. Reporting to the ECD, you will also be responsible for establishing a new creative benchmark for commerce in our agency, and how we use it to develop and broaden our offer. You will thrive on vision building and mentorship within the discipline and the broader creative department. You will be commercially aware and able to help drive and run the work on time and on budget.
On the work – you will be responsible for developing and innovating our clients’ experiential output across a range of touchpoints, from brand platforms to events and ongoing programs. You will thrive on building client relations and taking them on a journey to bigger and better.
You are already or want to become a thought leader in the space, understanding and anticipating trends across culture, society and technology. You are conceptual, a great decision maker and director. You have drive, energy and enjoy the challenge of improving the work you and your creative team are producing. You can also differentiate between what a client asks for and what a client and their audience needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop best in class creative across our commerce vertical, elevating the work and what is possible within it.
- Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to the creative team and peers. Share feedback and best practice to drive collective success.
- Produce work in various formats, from conceptual creative through to executional detail across campaigns and live experiences. Work with the client to understand and interpret their brief alongside our Head of Strategy and Executive Creative Director, inputting your own ideas to strengthen the output.
- Overseeing projects day to day by more junior teams.
- Champion creativity within your team and maintain a creative, inspiring, and collaborative environment for ideas to flourish.
- Improve quality of work with your vision and direction, challenging our clients’ expectations and pushing the limits (but with a keen eye on costs).
Your Skills:
- 10+ years experience, with plenty of commerce experience under your belt, with a strong understanding of the relationship between this discipline and other creative levers (e.g. strategy, art direction, experience design).
- Have a strong understanding of experiential marketing and can generate ideas that marry our creative, technology and experiential capabilities.
- Strong mentoring and motivation skills, giving clear direction, responsibilities and accountabilities to teams you are managing.
- Strong presentation skills, able to confidently take clients on a journey and convince them of the strength of our ideas.
