We’re looking for a strategic, driven, and versatile communications leader to support our SVP, Director of Marketing Communications two days a week, via a job share. In this exciting role, you’ll manage internal communications, oversee paid social initiatives, lead our agency’s non-creative awards process, and play a key part in content creation for newsletters and events. You’ll have the opportunity to work across departments, manage a global internal communications strategy, and lead a talented social media team.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Assist the SVP, Director of Marketing Communications in developing strategic solutions to build brand equity and drive agency results.
  • Talent/People Comms: Lead internal communications for Talent/People, working closely with Talent/People teams.
  • Paid Social Oversight: Oversee paid social initiatives for Marketing Communications & Growth.
  • Awards Management: Lead the agency’s awards process for non-creative categories, collaborating with the Social Media Manager for project management.
  • Internal Communications: Manage internal communications proficiency in MailChimp.
  • Newsletter Management: Collaborate with the SVP, Director of Marketing Communications to produce bi-weekly newsletters.
  • Client Understanding: Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s business, both internally and externally.
  • Agency Tools Utilisation: Leverage agency tools to convey necessary information effectively.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor work progress and help produce monthly reporting.
  • Event Communications: Lead communication planning for all owned and cultural events, supporting the SVP as needed for NA events.
  • BL Team Calls: Lead monthly BL team calls to plan all communications.
  • Social Media Management: Manage the Social Media Marketing Manager, overseeing WW social media content planning and execution across channels, working closely with the US SVP.
  • Holiday Support: Provide support for PR, Social Media, and Marcomms teams during holiday cover.
  • Global Internal Comms Liaison: Serve as the global internal communications liaison.
  • Job Information Communication: Ensure timely communication of relevant job information to team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in Marketing Communications: Proven experience in developing and executing marketing communications strategies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership in managing internal communications and cross-functional teams.
  • Social Media Expertise: Experience overseeing paid social campaigns and content execution across multiple platforms.
  • Award Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the agency award process, particularly for non-creative awards.
  • Proficiency in Tools: Knowledge of MailChimp and agency tools for communication and reporting.
  • Client-Centric Mindset: Ability to build a comprehensive understanding of client businesses, both internally and externally.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to monitor progress, track work, and generate reports for senior leadership.
  • Event Communication Planning: Experience leading communication planning for events, especially cultural and owned events.
  • Multitasking and Flexibility: Ability to handle multiple priorities and provide support across different areas during peak times (e.g., holiday cover).
  • Global Communication Understanding: Experience managing internal communications on a global scale, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
  • Communication Efficiency: Ability to provide clear, timely communication of job-related information to team members and stakeholders.
