We are seeking a positive hands-on people manager to oversee the delivery of operational site security at a busy high-profile location in Plymouth. This role will see you shape the security strategy and manage the delivery of day-to-day operational security.
You will take the lead in embedding policies related to Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty) and work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver a first class security service.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A positive people manager with experience leading, coaching and developing staff
- SIA Door Supervisor licensed
- A strong working knowledge of counter terrorism principles
- Experience managing incidents
- A passion for service excellence
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Shape and embed the security strategy
- Managing the delivery of site security in a busy and high-profile environment
- Lead on the implementation of Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty)
- Lead on policy formulation across crisis management planning, threat analysis and incident response
- Conduct and monitor staff appraisals and encourage further development
- Shape staff training and development across core areas such as counter terrorism response, customer service and effective communication
- The planning and implementation of Incident management and response
- Event security planning and preparation
- Safeguarding of various assets to include people, buildings and information
- Oversee the delivery of control room operations
- Cross functional working with the Property and Facilities teams
- Undertake risk assessments
- Liaise with emergency services when required
