Trainee Enforcement Agent Salary: £25,000, increasing to £27k following training | OTE: £45,000-£60,000 per year + company vehicle
Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5). Start times from 6am.

Would you like to become a full-time salaried Enforcement Agent? We have permanent Full-Time opportunities for trainee Enforcement Agents. Supported by a full 12-week training programme this is a role with real impact. You’ll manage complex and sensitive situations and execute warrants with professionalism and integrity.
You will support local authorities by working with residents and business owners to bring their unpaid council tax or business rates up to date, whilst ensuring fairness, and delivering the highest standards of legislative practice - all while gaining a City & Guilds certification and developing a respected professional pathway with ongoing opportunities to grow.
Experience required:
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points. You must have held your driving license for at least 12 months.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
- Self-motivated and results focused with a motivation to exceed personal targets.
- Able to use sound judgement to reach fair, practical decisions.
- Be able to professionally and fairly assess people and their circumstances, navigate challenging cases and demonstrate empathy as required.
- Good IT skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out enforcement activity, including executing Liability Orders.
- Make in-person visits, assess circumstances, and secure payments or recover goods.
- Manage a varied caseload, using investigative skills to locate individuals, with a strong focus on persistent evaders and high-priority cases.
- When needed, lead sensitive conversations - including with vulnerable people - using empathy, professionalism, and calm conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate records, manage payments, and ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and operational requirements.
- Work flexibly, including early mornings, some evenings, and occasional weekends, with travel and overnight stays where required.
